The Woodpile

Ah yes - the woodpile - this is something with which no book, violin school or apprenticeship can prepare one to deal. I myself have gone the reluctant seasonal clean-up route, the very-expensive-but-ineffective braai-fire route ("braai" is "barbeque" for the uninitiated), or just wallowed in the mess.

Then one day a friend of three decades' standing visited. She's a retired art teacher currently involved in a programme for kids with hearing, sight, mental and physical disabilities.

She saw my woodpile, and the rest, as they say, is history. Take a look.
